Panasonic System Solutions Company of North America today announced availabilityof its AW-UE100 Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) camera to address the increasing demand to create streamlined productions that deliver high quality viewing experiences. The AW-UE100 is the industry’s first PTZ camera to support 4K/60p for high-bandwidth NDI and Secure Reliable Transport (SRT), which enables users to capture and stream high quality images and video over public internet securely and in real-time. Addressing the need for increased flexibility, the new AW-UE100 PTZ camera features an all new Direct Drive motor for much quieter and smoother movement with heightened response time to capture quality live remote and studio production in broadcast, staging, corporate, sports, higher education and house of worship applications.

Prudential Center, home to the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and NCAA's Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team, has upgraded to Panasonic AK-HC5000 HD HDR studio/field camera systems for all in-game presentation on the arena’s massive, center-hung LED scoreboards (almost four stories tall). In addition to capturing game action, the four AK-HC5000s and an AW-UE150 4K/HD 60p pan/tilt/zoom camera enhance the fan experience, including fan shots, player warm-ups and timeout features.

As Hawthorne College winds down for the Christmas holidays, a black-masked stalker beginskilling sorority sisters one by one. Produced by Jason Blum (Halloween, Get Out) for BlumhouseProductions, Black Christmas is a re-imagining of the 1974 cult classic to a 21 st centuryaudience. The horror film was directed and co-written by Sophia Takal (Always Shine). AlthoughTakal was a fan of the original film, she wanted to bring attention to contemporary women’srights issues, in particular the Me-Too movement. The film was shot by cinematographer MarkSchwartzbard (Forever, Master of None) with VariCam cinema cameras rented out of PanavisionNew Zealand. “The original Black Christmas was made in 1974 and it was a Canadian lowbudget horror movie,” explains Schwartzbard. “A lot of people believe it's the movie thatinvented the slasher film.”
