Shutterstock's trending 4K images & Newest Tool, "Sequence"

Shutterstock’s 4K content has been increasing since last year’s NAB show, and the strong demand for it over the past year is only continuing to grow. With over two million stock photos in Shutterstock’s database, (100,000 of those being in 4K) it’s safe to say 4K’s future is already here. Shutterstock’s Derick Rhodes says he’s seeing more and more people licensing 4K images and it seems to be here to stay.

Does Shutterstock have a new focus for 2015?

Yes, to make it easier for users to find the images they need for their projects.

"Sequence" is Shutterstock’s NEW in browser editing tool for Chrome.  Rhodes shares that the tool is created to drag and drop Shutterstock content with your own content. It’s great to quickly compile images and ideas together to share with others and is a totally new way to think & create.

Interested in sending in your amazing clips and images for Shutterstock’s possible use?

It’s easy, just go to: Submit.shutterstock.com and see if your work makes it into their database of 2 million+ images. Currently Shutterstock has 60k contributors across the world, but they are always looking for more.  Rhodes goes on to say, “Anything that is shot well, we’re interested in.”
