4K drone video of downtown Tampa is stunning

Everything in downtown Tampa kind of looks brand new when you see it from a drone’s eye view.

It was about this time last year when we were first wowed by a Tampa drone video from a local videographer, but a new one that surfaced this week on YouTube has upped the intensity by being shot in 4K video (that’s four times higher definition than 1080p).

The drone offers aerial views around downtown Tampa including the University of Tampa, the “exploding chicken” sculpture and Florida Aquarium in the Channelside district, the Riverwalk, Tampa Bay History Center and Kylie Gardens.

The video was posted to YouTube by Kestrel UAS, a “Drone Hardware, Software, Services, and Solutions” company based in Wesley Chapel, according to its website.

Don’t forget to bump up the video quality to 4K on YouTube to get the full effect (but if it gets choppy, bump it down a smidge, the 4K format is so intense it’s still giving some browsers a hard time).
