EIZO announces new Ultra HD 4K 23.8-inch monitor
EIZO announced a new 23.8-inch 4K monitor the ColorEdge CG248-4K. The monitor features 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD resolution aimed at professional users looking for a high-resolution monitor for photo and video editing purposes.
The CG248-4K features an IPS LCD display with 178 degree viewing angles and a wide color gamut coverage. EIZO is claiming that the monitor covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color gamut and 100% of the Rec. 709 color gamut. So when it comes to color gamut, the latest Eizo monitor is definitely among the best in the market right now. What’s even more impressive is the fact that you get a crazy high pixel density as well for a monitor, with 185 pixels per inch density. Another highlight is that the display can display more than one billion colors simultaneously from a 16-bit look-up table.
For self-calibration, the monitor is offered with two calibration software programs – ColorNavigator 6 and ColorNavigator NX. EIZO also includes five-year warranty on the monitor and a brightness and color warranty up to 10,000 hours. The Color Edge CG248-4K will be going on sale starting next month. Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet.
